Welcome. I'm Lisa and I currently work as a freelance sports and travel writer and also as a digital editor for espnW. Prior to this, I worked at NFL headquarters and spent nine years at Sports Illustrated. While at the latter, I managed to make it to 30 out of the 32 NFL locker rooms on reporting assignments. The remaining? Only Kansas City and Green Bay – just the two with some of the most passionate fan bases in all of sports. I get it. Probably not the two you would want to miss.
I'm based in New York City and hold a bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University and a master's degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. For my master's project, I focused on the life of Eddie Shore and old time hockey. It was inspired by the cult classic "Slap Shot," which was pretty much on a loop while growing up in a hockey family in Massachusetts. You have to love Reggie Dunlop.
I have freelanced for Condé Nast Traveler, USA Basketball, ESPN and the official Super Bowl game programs among others. Thank you for visiting and feel free to drop me a line on the contact page if you would like to work together.
