Lisa Altobelli

Welcome. I'm Lisa and I currently work as a freelance writer and also as an editor for espnW. Prior to this, I worked at NFL headquarters as an editor and daily blogger for NFL.com. I also spent nine years at Sports Illustrated where I had a weekly column called "The Beat" and managed to make it to 30 out of the 32 NFL locker rooms on assignment thus far. The remaining? Only Kansas City and Green Bay. Just the two with arguably the best fan bases in all of sports. I get it. Probably not the two you would want to miss.

I'm based in New York City and hold a bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University and a master's degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. My master's project focused on Eddie Shore and old time hockey. And, yes, it was inspired by Slap Shot! Great movie.

I have freelanced for the official Super Bowl game programs, USA Basketball and ESPN among others. Thank you for visiting and drop me a line if you would like to work together!
